Study the reasoning behind individualised clinical aesthetic decisions. This Lips By Andreea course brings together applied anatomy, complication management and psychological considerations with the theory supporting facial botulinum toxin and temporary dermal filler procedures.
The five-unit pathway covers CO701, CO602, CO507, AP707 and AP708. The material asks learners to analyse the client’s circumstances, compare reasonable options and justify a plan, including when to defer or refer. Consultation, consent, product information, traceability and follow-up run through the course.
What you will study
- Facial tissue layers, muscles, nerves, vessels, skin integrity and anatomical variation.
- Complication prevention, recognition, escalation, incident records and reflective learning.
- Body dysmorphic disorder awareness, psychological first aid and sensitive consultation.
- Botulinum toxin principles, prescribing responsibilities, product information and procedure planning.
- Temporary dermal filler materials, rheology, facial assessment, treatment planning and aftercare.
- Clinical documentation, outcome review, supervised evidence and continuing professional development.
Learning and assessment preparation
The presentation includes a suggested 16-week teaching sequence with case analysis, workshops, simulations and reflective discussions. Supporting documents provide short-answer and extended-response work, complication-management tasks, a procedure plan and a reflective practice log. The emphasis is on explaining the rationale for a decision and recognising the limits of personal competence.
Included materials
A 139-slide PowerPoint presentation, anatomy and psychological-wellbeing assessment resources, complication-management guidance and tasks, facial toxin and filler extended-response documents, clinical planning forms, reflection and CPD records, and supporting example resources.
Who this course is for
Learners pursuing advanced clinical aesthetic study. Entry requirements, prescribing access, supervised practice, insurance, assessment and certification arrangements must be confirmed with the academy. The materials describe clinical learning and do not by themselves confer authority to prescribe or perform procedures.
Learner testimonials
Coming from an acute medical background, I wanted postgraduate-level standards of clinical governance in aesthetics. The modules on dermal filler rheology—specifically G-prime, cohesivity, and tissue integration—alongside the vascular occlusion protocols and pulsed hyaluronidase management are exemplary. It sets a high standard for aesthetic education.

The unit on Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) screening and psychological consultation (CO507) sets this qualification apart from standard technical courses. Learning how to identify vulnerable clients, manage expectation mismatch, and ethically decline treatment is just as vital as injection technique. The 16-week study structure is rigorous and well paced.

The complication management unit is indispensable. The step-by-step guidance on identifying impending tissue necrosis, high-dose hyaluronidase administration protocols, and formal emergency documentation gave me complete security in my clinical decision-making. The depth of anatomical variation covered in the slides is outstanding.

The botulinum toxin and dermal filler extended-response tasks really test your diagnostic and analytical abilities. From muscle antagonism in the upper face to layer-by-layer injection depths in the midface and perioral zones, the curriculum demands solid anatomical justification. Essential for practitioners wanting genuine clinical authority.

The breadth of material across the 139 slides, complication case studies, and clinical planning documents requires dedicated study time. However, the depth of competence you develop in product traceability, consent legalities, and complication resolution makes the effort completely worthwhile.
